Our comprehensive exams aim to give you a complete picture of the condition of your oral health and then together we can tailor a solution to suit you.
We can also give you a variety of treatment options. Our comprehensive examinations do take longer than you may have been used to before, but we believe that this is one of your most important visits with us.
During this appointment we will generally take photos of your mouth, take digital X-rays, assess health of soft tissues (including oral cancer screening), assess health of your teeth and any current dental restorations, assess your bite and jaw joint, and our hygienist will also do a thorough check of the condition of your gums and bone levels. At the end of your visit we aim to give you a complete explanation of the state of your mouth, and if any treatment is required, we will also spend time discussing options.
Have you ever wondered how dangerous dental X-Rays are? Dr Kate and the team discuss everything you ever wanted to know about X-Rays and dental imaging.
